Look through the following forms of address; illustrate them with examples of your own:

1. Direct forms of addressing, choice of inclusive pronouns (we, our, us), verb forms, imperative structures, questions (including rhetorical questions);
2. Indirect forms of addressing, quoting, reference to other sources and authors, comments, notes, author's speculations, parenthesis, choice of the vocabulary, sentence structure;
3. Function of addressing, to attract the reader's attention, appeal to his/her interest, aim the reader at the further problem analysis, draw him/her into reflection.

Study the main forms of influencing category manifestation; analyze its functioning in the newspaper article:
1. Linguistic level: choice of the vocabulary (stylistic devices: metaphors, neologisms, synonyms), undercurrent meanings, direct estimation of the facts;
2. Extralinguistic level: author's communicative intention, forms of argumentation, choice of facts.
